2014 Santa Claus Parade highlights

Santa Clause Parade 2014

 

As a member of the community we serve, Collingwood is proud to take part in this annual event and here are a few ways our volunteers take part in the Santa Claus parade:

  • We serve as general crowd control, ensuring the safety of all attendee’s
  • Dress up as community policing mascot’s and engage the crowd
  • Greet and engage the public with wonderful smiles and holiday cheer

Here are some stats from the 2014 parade:

  • The Parade had more than 3,500 participants including more than 60 marching bands, choirs, festive floats, and community groups.
  • Each year the Parade attracts 300,000 spectators to downtown Vancouver.
  • The Parade is one of the largest food and fund raising events for the Food Bank. Since 2004, the Parade has collected $132,400 and more than 73,500 lbs. of food for hungry families in the Lower Mainland.
