Bike Patrol

The Bike Patrol has been representing the community policing centre for the past four years. It has proven to be an excellent way of reaching out and building new partnerships between the community and the local police department. Our presence serves many functions from interacting with residents on a variety of community issues to simple visual deterrents. The Collingwood Community Policing Centre's Bike Patrol will continue to be the "eyes and ears" for the Vancouver Police Department and your community.

Today we have over 125 volunteers. Our Bike Patrol Members not only donate their time to this program, but they also assist in other programs sponsored by the Collinwood Community Policing Centre. For example, they help the Growbusters team by delivering pamphlets and canvassing the affected areas with surveys, they assist with Bike Roadeos at elementary schools, and they perform other tasks such as office duties.

Are you looking to improve your resume and try to get ahead of the competition? If you are, the Collingwood Community Policing Centre's volunteer Bike Patrol is a great place to start. What better way to increase your experience than working with the police and the community to build partnerships and make it a safer place to live!

You may be thinking that it may be too time consuming while going to school and trying to hold down a job and that this would just add more chaos to your already hectic schedule, but we work with your schedule. Currently, we are looking for volunteers that are willing to contribute approximately 8 hours per month to participate in this program.

What better way to get fresh air and exercise while discovering and reporting such things as marijuana grow operations and stolen cars, and all while gaining experience to be the best applicant you can be!

Movie in a Park Program
