Overall Strategic Progress

The patrol program had another successful year with 534 shifts. Patrol members assisted the Vancouver Police Department 3 times in searching for individual members.  With more resources provided from the B.I.A., such as new bikes, the office was successful in implementing more shifts in the Mt. Pleasant area. Members were able to react to the crime trends quicker and to respond with 4523 crime alerts being issued to the public.

In 2012 the top priorities include:

  • Schedule more varied activities for the patrol members while on shifts.
  • Have each patrol shift do speed watch for a minimum of once per month.
  • Provide updated  bike training for volunteers
  • Access funding for more palm pilots to increase the number of SARS.
